ERG Hygrade designs and fabricates biofilters, bioscrubbers and biotrickling filters for the treatment of hydrogen sulphide and odorous compounds in sewage treatment works, waste handling facilities and industrial processes.

Each unit is tailored to the specific application, with a choice of media including inert pumice (lava rock), woodchip, and structured plastic packing — selected for optimal biological activity, durability and load characteristics.

Media is housed in either vertical GRP towers or, for larger installations, in flat-panel rectangular GRP housings. All systems are fully customised, including the design of the media bed, housing, irrigation and recirculation systems.
